I’m note sure what you mean.
There are over 150 free options available and has had over 1.5m downloads. The Pro options are only for very specific needs or for extra customisation.
In regards donations, I offered it completely free for the first 2 years only taking donations and made $30 in that whole time from 2 donations. It really doesn’t work and doesn’t really encourage further development on my part.
I know people love everything on WordPress (and in life) these days to be free, and I have done my best to offer the best possible product I can for free, while giving all my spare time to support etc. on the free and pro forums but I can’t justify that as a long term model for success. It’s probably the reason why so many projects are abandoned on WordPress, which leaves users even more frustrated in the long run.
