I consistently have problems every time you release an update. I use responsive menu pro on all my websites. I typically use MainWP to update my plugins which works great. I get issues quite a bit with responsive menu deactivating the plugin and then not reactivating it. I don’t know about this till my client calls to complain that the mobile menu is missing.

I just got this error on one of my sites after it upgraded to version 3.2.9 …

The plugin MTU4NTU0NDUzMzo2ZmEwNGQxNDBkMDJjOTZmZGU2MWYxZGU2NGFmYzBmMToxMTQzOmFhMzE3NGRhOGM0MzNmZmM2ZTM5NjRjMjg3ZmY4MWIwOmh0dHBzQC8vYWpraG91cmkuY29tOjA-HkAslT/responsive-menu-pro.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

I ended up just re-activiating the plugin.

On another site, got the message “There is a new version of Responsive Menu Pro available. View version 3.1.29 details or update now.”. I click update now, then it says I don’t have a valid license, which I do. I click update now again, and it updates.

This is very frustrating every time there is a new release. I panic every time you release an update because I know there will be problems. This only started happening over the last 4-5 updates you’ve released. Never had this issue prior.

Can you explain if there are issues with your update process?

Same problem here – the update doesn’t install after I click the “update plugin” button for version 3.1.29 … it seems to do something, but then it’s back to 3.1.28.

It really is a shame, there was not a single update in the last few weeks/months that didn’t have an issue. I feel exactly the same as hads: I’ve lost all confidence in your plugin and feel anxious every time there is a new update. Will it break my site? Who knows?

Please, please fix this and reassess your development process!

    Hi Hads and Daniel,

Sorry for the inconvenience, you are experiencing right now. I am forwarding your issues to the development team. It would be helpful if you can provide us the website admin credentials or the export file of your plugin so that we can look into the issue.

    Regards,
    Kriti

I was able to update to 3.1.29 now via my hosting service. It didn’t work via the wordpress backend, though.

    Hey all!

I’m also concerned. Every update causes a lot of problems and I have to fix numerous websites every time. Hopefully in the future, updates will be tested carefully or not done – unless it’s about security. The plugin itself is excellent! (or was at least when the plugin creator Peter Featherstone was still in business).

    Hi

Also concerned too. I’m getting nervous at each update, and the latest one 3.1.29 has a JS conflict with Elementor aninamations, the results? Page break!
So I switched back to previous version.

Peter Featherstone is gone?! Ouch… 🙁

Please give us the website’s URL so that we can troubleshoot the issue and give you the required solution.

    Kind regards,

    @KRITI

As I said, I switched back to 3.1.28 so even if I give you an URL you’ll not see any error…

    Ok, Pascal.
