    Hello

    I may be misunderstanding the description of this option but I expected a parent menu link to be expanded when I am viewing that parent page, but it doesn’t do this. It is only expanded on page load if I am viewing a child page of that parent.

    Is there maybe some requirement for it to work as described or anything else that I may be missing?

    Hey Fredrik,

    I think it’s just a simple misunderstanding. It only expands to show the page you are on..

    If you are on a parent page it wouldn’t expand because you are not on any of the childrens pages.

    Hi Peter

    This is unfortunate as we really need it to work when viewing the parent page.

    Is there not any way that we could modify this behavior, by editing something in the files perhaps?

    Hey Fredrik,

    You are more than welcome to play around with the javascript and css but it would get quite complex and would be overwritten on every update so is not really advised.

    I can add the new option to my development list but can’t give any estimation of when it might be added as it hasn’t been asked before so won’t have immediate priority unfortunately.

    Hi again.

    I hope to see improvements like this in near future.

    In the mean time I have found a workaround. I simply copy the parent menu item and put it as a sub-menu item of its own child. Then in Responsive menu options I simply set the menu level depth to 2 to hide it and that’s it. Menu expands on page load when viewing the parent page. Hopefully no side effects will arise though 🙂

    Hey Frederik,

    Sounds good. I hope to add more features in future it’s just a hard balance between making the plugin customisable in every aspect and not making it confusing.
