Shortcode won't activate

    Hi, I seem to have a bug..

    I am trying to activate the shortcode but when I go into Technical and click it to on and save, it doesn’t save the change and it is left off. Any ideas?

    Hi James,

    I don’t have much to go on here so it’s quite hard to make any suggestions, a few things:

    1. Is it only this option that won’t save, or is it for all others?
    2. Do you have any caching plugins installed?
    3. Do you have any MySQL or PHP errors in your logs when saving?
    4. Do you have the wp_responsive_menu_pro table in your database.
    5. Have you tried disabling all other plugins and finally the theme and trying again to see if there is a conflict?

    Please advise

    Hi Peter,

    Other options do save, but one thing that I find strange is that when the plugin settings page loads it always diverts strange to the button tab? I don’t think it used to do that.

    No caching or errors. Tried disabling all other plugins. The strange thing is it was working yesterday but the only thing that has changed since is activating the transparent background on the button tab. Switching that back to off doesn’t resolve it though.

    The database table is there. I have tried uninstalling the whole plugin and deleting the table in question.

    No php errors in the server logs either.

    Hey James,

    If it was working yesterday and isn’t today then it doesn’t suggest an obvious issue with the plugin because my plugin hasn’t been updated in a couple of months now.

    Do you have any console or html errors in the page or anything like that. What does the use_shortcode option say in the actual table?

    Have you tried using the Reset to Defaults option or any of the Rebuild options?

    Did you check MySQL logs too?

    Are you able to provide access so I can see first hand?

    Strangely there is no option called use_shortcode in the table.

    I tried another site on my server and also it wont save the shortcode option.

    Is there another setting that has to be set for it to activate it or is there a php function that potencially the server is not allowing?

    Hey James,

    There is nothing that seperates this option from any others, they all work the same way.

    Can you try adding the use_shortcode option directly to the table.

    Did you check the MySQL logs?
