Just bought pro version. Followed instructions to hide the theme menu but I now have a duplicate hamburger toggle button. How do I hide/remove this? I have seen from other forums that it can be done by editing the html in the header.php but would prefer to do it via CSS just in case I want to change things and so don’t want to edit theme files

As per the forum guidelines https://responsive.menu/forums/topic/forum-guidelines/ please provide your site URL as it’s impossible for me to advise without it.
All the best
Peter

Here is a link to the post I found about the issue which explains it exactly as I see it on my site https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/i-see-two-mobile-toggle-buttons/
April 23, 2018 at 4:42 pm #68398Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHi Lindsay,
I don’t understand. That is a Mega Menu documentation link.
I need to see your site so I can advise on the CSS selector you need to add to hide the other button.
Please advise.

April 23, 2018 at 4:52 pm #68397Lindsay HartParticipantHi Peter, yes it is a link to Mega Menu because that is the only site that described what I found happening on my site when using Responsive Menu. As I said my site is on a local host so no URL. I am using Astra theme and Elementor. I can send you a screen shot or copy of the site code if that helps
April 23, 2018 at 5:01 pm #68396Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Lindsay,
No that won’t help. I need to see it in a web browser so I can use the browser inspector tools to find the relevant CSS selector class or ID.
If you are unable to share the site then you will either need to find the selector yourself or ask the theme developers to provide it to you.
Hope that helps
Peter
April 23, 2018 at 5:08 pm #68395Lindsay HartParticipantHi Peter, spent some time trying to do that. Found the one for the main menu but can’t seem to find it for the toggle button as I am not CSS savvy. Will try to get it from the theme developer but if I can’t I can’t use your plugin so would want a refund
April 23, 2018 at 5:12 pm #68394Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Lindsay,
Not a problem but I’d like to point out that there is no issue with my plugin here.
If the theme devs cant provide you with their own css selectors or way to turn their menu off id be extremely suprised.
Thanks again
Peter
April 23, 2018 at 5:26 pm #68393Lindsay HartParticipantHi Peter, no suggestion that there is a problem with your plugin. Just frustrated that there is not much support information for this issue on the web as to how to resolve this issue. Must be a common issue for all developers of added menu plugins? Thanks for your help and I have already contacted Astra. Hope they can supply the relevant info
April 23, 2018 at 5:29 pm #68392Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Lindsay,
It is a common thing but unfortunately there is not a common solution as every single theme will use a different class or id for their buttons. In addition, most people who are building websites have a good idea of how to find the required css needed to hide.
It may be quicker and more beneficial for you to learn how to use your browsers inspector tools as it is very easy to do and will only take 5 seconds to find what you need once you’ve learned the tools.
All the best

April 23, 2018 at 7:11 pm #68391Lindsay HartParticipantHi Peter, thanks for your continued advice. I do know (within certain limitations) how to use the browser inspector tools. I have scanned through the code a few times and couldn’t find it. The only code, apart from the one which was the site navigation (which I copied and put in the relevant box in your plugins set up) was your plugin code. I must have missed the toggle box code or not recognised it. I just thought because I am not using an obscure theme – Astra being very popular – and editing with Elementor you may have been able to help. I will look into again and hope to resolve it. I am a newbie with WordPress but have enough of an understanding of html and css to find, remove and add code (not written by me). Just hasn’t worked out this time
April 23, 2018 at 7:13 pm #68390Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Lindsay,
Can you show me one of Astras demo or example sites which is the same as yours and point me at the part you want removed.
If it is the same as the one you are using then maybe the class or ID names are the same and we can use that.
Please advise
Peter
April 23, 2018 at 7:34 pm #68389Lindsay HartParticipantHi Peter, here is the link to the Astra starter sites. I am not using one of these as none of the designs fit my requirements but I checked the first one – Into the Wild – under the Elementor tab and the hamburger toggle looks the same as the one on my site. If you can help further that would be great otherwise I will await a reply from Astra
April 23, 2018 at 7:35 pm #68388Lindsay HartParticipantOops forgot to add the link. https://wpastra.com/ready-websites/ . By the way I went for your plugin instead of Mega Menu because I liked your mobile menu better so I hope this can be sorted
April 23, 2018 at 7:40 pm #68387Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Lindsay,
Can you please try the below as that is the selector for the Into the Wild site:
.menu-toggle
Please let me know
Peter
