On this page I have the menu working OK:
Ntlbiologica.com/test
However on this page, and other pages, the menu is offset to the right with some space to the left:
https://ntlbiologica.com/contact-us/
Are you able to advise why this is happening?
Also part of the drop down menu is in one colour (the area where the menu options are) but under that the area is a lighter colour. I cannot readily see where to make the colour all the sam on the total menu.
Please can you advise about this as well as the issue above.
Regards

I’ve just been on both of those pages on a few devices and they all look the same to me. Is there a specific browser or device that is giving you the issue?
The colour difference is due to the fact that you have the menu background colour and container background colours as well as it seems title background colours with a semi transparency. Because the menu doesn’t cover the whole container it means that the menu has double transparency. It would be best to set your container background as you want it and then make everything else fully transparent.
I hope that helps

As I said the menu format varies. It is not just that page. The Contact – us page sorted itself when I rewrote the whole page.
If you go the Team page and select the menu you will see the issue.
Please check that.

It looks like it’s to do with your
.full-container
wrapper that you have. That has a max-width value of 1080px on it so my plugin can’t go full screen on any screensizes above that.
You can either move the plugin shortcode outside of the wrappers or change the container to not have a max width.
I hope that helps

‘My’ full container?
It’s just a theme I am using with Visual Composer.
I’ll see if I can suss what you are saying.

In that case the container that your theme is adding.
What are you doing differently on the pages that do work and those that don’t?
Basically there is a maximum width on the container on the pages that look weird, if you can remove that then it should get things working as expected.
Please let me know what you find.

Well that did’nt work!
I then deleted the Products page and created a new one called Our Products.
The issue is still there. Menu bleeding right off the page.
Where did you find the .full-container class??
Cheers

September 12, 2019 at 1:29 pm #69133Steve BraggParticipantHi Peter
I found the .full-container class and cen see that it is set to 1080. This class is in the header and though I have not approached the authors of the theme yet I am of a mind to say it is controlling the width of the header centre to ensure that the site logo and any header widget are set to specific positions.
The reason the other two pages work with your menu is because I switched off the header in order to have the video on the landing page touching the page top and the background image on the Contact page also touching the top.
The other two pages Products and Team use the theme standard tamplate.
It seems odd that your menu is so affected by this?
Is there any CSS you can offer that would get around the problem?
Cheers

September 12, 2019 at 1:38 pm #69134Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Steve,
Why does it seem odd? My plugin is inside the container using a max width and my plugin fills 100% of the section so if you are above that width then it makes sense that my plugin will only fill the max width container.
My question is why are you placing my plugin inside the container and not outside it? Is there a reason you need to use the shortcode?
Please let me know
Peter
September 12, 2019 at 1:54 pm #69135Steve BraggParticipantHi Peter
Well I guess you must not presume that I know that your plugin works inside the container. Now you say it and the shortcode is inside the container I can get it.
I can’t place your shortcode outside the container, as it just goes on the page, which is of course inside the container.
However the question about why am I using the shortcode is valid as I used it because originally the landing page was built using Thrive architect and your plugin and their product clashed like crazy, in your archive somewhere you will find discussions between us about this. Now that I am not using Thrive I have switched off the shortcode and the issue is solved.
So thanks for pointing all that out.
The only small thing now is that on the Landing page and Contact-Us page the font on the drop down is bolder than the font on the Team or Products page, and the About Us page.
Do you know why that would happen?
Thanks
Steve
September 12, 2019 at 3:26 pm #69136Peter FeatherstoneParticipantHey Steve,
I’m glad turning off the shortcode helped and glad we were able to identify that as the cause.
In regards the font bolding issues. I’m not sure but it’s the same throughout your site so I don’t think it’s an issue with my plugin.
If you look at your footer, your Email text is also different bolding on both pages.
I hope that helps
